چکیده

Objectives: The present study focuses on development of novel Metal-Herbal Nano composite (MHNC) formulation against Naja naja and Bungarus Caeruleus venoms animal models. Methods: were procured from Irula snake catchers society in lyophilised forms. Herbal-metal nanocomposites prepared 1:1 combinations. Single strength concentration Leucas zeylanica extracts copper oxide metal nanoparticles was used to attain these ratio’s. In vivo venom neutralization analysis carried out Swiss albino mice. LD50 ED50 the MHNC determined. Results: observed be 0.19μg/g 0.174μg/g for venom. 14.22mg 63.39mg Conclusion: developed this has significant potential venoms. Therefore, can anti-venom drugs.

In Vitro and in Vivo Neutralizing Potential of Terminalia Arjuna Bark Extract against Naja Naja Venom

Envenoming’s by snake bite to involve medical emergencies and its clinical management is by the administration of antivenom. As antivenom was reported to induce early or late adverse reactions against human beings, snake venom neutralizing potential for aqueous bark of Terminalia arjuna extract was tested for the present research by in vitro and in vivo methods against Naja naja venom. In vitro...

Differential Effects of Naja naja atra Venom on Immune Activity

Previous studies reported that Naja naja atra venom (NNAV) inhibited inflammation and adjuvant arthritis. Here we investigated the role of NNAV in regulation of immune responses in mice. Oral administration of NNAV to normal mice showed significant increase in natural killer cell activity, B lymphocyte proliferation stimulated by lipopolysaccharides, and antibody production in response to sheep...

Inhibition of Naja naja venom enzymes by the methanolic extract of Leucas aspera and its chemical profile by GC–MS

PURPOSE The present investigation was aimed at evaluating the anti-ophidian properties of ethnomedicinal herb Leucas aspera against Indian cobra, Naja naja venom enzymes. METHODS Methanolic extract of Leucas aspera was evaluated, in vitro, for its ability to inhibit the major enzyme activities of Naja naja venom including protease, phospholipase A2, hyaluronidase and hemolytic factors. The ty...

Cross-neutralization of Thai cobra (Naja kaouthia) and spitting cobra (Naja siamensis) venoms by Thai cobra antivenom.

The neutralizing capacity of antivenom prepared against Thai cobra (Naja kaouthia) venom was compared in mice using the homologous venom and that of spitting cobra (Naja siamensis). The amounts of antivenoms neutralizing a dose of 4 LD50 of the test venom were determined. Four antivenom preparations were used: three purified antivenoms and a crude antivenom, which were made using N. kaouthia ve...
